Their strategic vision and unique expertise drive our efforts, forming a powerhouse committed to creating lasting impact and fostering a world free from the shackles of exploitation.

Dr. Vernal Teresa Tiller PhD, MSA, RN, BSN, FAIHQ, FABQUARP
Board ChairDr. Tiller is an entrepreneur and CEO/Founder of Bianca’s Haven with extensive experience initiating and implementing new programs and services, preparing enterprises for accreditation, licensing, and regulatory surveys. She has clinical expertise in oncology and hospice, burn management, women’s, and Transgender health. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor and course developer for graduate and undergraduate students.
Dr. Tiller is passionate about improving the quality of life for the community and has presented on topics related to human trafficking, anti-bullying, literacy, caregiver support, and health equity during national conferences and Michigan based media forums.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Oakland University, a master’s in health service administration from Central Michigan University, and a doctorate in Industrial/Organizational psychology from Walden University. She is certified in Managed Care, Quality, Utilization and Case Management by the American Board of Quality Assurance & Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP).
She is the recipient of several awards including the Michigan Chronicle “Woman of Excellence” award.

Dr. Danielle Bastien, DNP, APRN, FNP, BC
Vice PresidentDr. Danielle Jordan Bastien graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 2018, She completed the Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) with a specialty as Family Nurse Practitioner.
Her doctoral research was focused on creating and implementing a policy and procedure on identifying, assessing, and treating victims of human trafficking in the emergency department. This screening tool is now available on every epic platform in North America.
Danielle has won numerous awards for her work in human trafficking including the Clara Ford Award for Safest Care and Best Outcomes; Crain’s Business Health Care Hero Award; American Nurses’ Association’s Innovation Award; Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners New Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award. She has been featured in numerous media outlets including Johnson & Johnson’s Notes on Nursing, SEE YOU NOW Podcast, Bell Works Talk Podcast and most recently was featured in New York Magazines “the Cut”.
She currently serves as the system Director of Advanced Practice Provider Education at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Michigan. She also works as an NP in both oncologic urgent care and as a medical examiner.

Bianca J. Reaves PhD Candidate, MS, BS
TreasurerBianca Reaves is a Michigan native. She has resided in both Las Vegas, Nevada as well as Tempe, Arizona. Bianca has a passion for working with people in the mental health field. She enjoys understanding individuals’ experiences and ways to support individuals through life transitions towards improvement.
She attended Eastern Michigan University for her undergraduate program in psychology. She attended Walden University for her Master’s in Psychology and her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Currently her specialty training is in Trauma. She has continued her education by working on her PhD in Clinical Psychology and post graduation would like to work with adolescents in Psychological Testing and continue providing therapy.

Wendy M. Tiller RN, BSN
SecretaryWendy M. Tiller RN, BSN is a Michigan native. Ms. Tiller has an extensive background in emergency room and correctional nursing and has a passion for working with individuals in emergent and life altering situations. Ms. Tiller worked as an Adult Nurse Clinician at the Wayne County Correctional Facility and Juvenile Detention Center and was responsible for implementing emergency resuscitation protocols in those facilities. She has worked as a nurse in Emergency Medicine at Corewell (previously known as Beaumont Health System) for the past 30 years. Ms. Tiller earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Oakland University.
Ms. Tiller received the Citizenship Award from the City of Detroit after performing heroic lifesaving and resuscitative efforts for a citizen who collapsed in Greektown.
She is also a graduate of the Sterling Heights Police Citizens Academy and the Basic Death Investigation with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in Orange County, California.

Buff Donovan, LMSW, LCSW, ACSW
Vice President
Buff Donovan, LMSW, LCSW, ACSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 40 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. She has in-depth knowledge about population health, the impact of behavioral health and the importance of holistic care.
Ms. Donovan is a forward-thinking leader with over 40+ years of clinical and administrative and business experience in the healthcare field. Buff has proven ability to create a collaborative, customer-oriented atmosphere that inspires, motivates, and fosters positive and lasting business relationships. She embraces technological advances that streamline business operations and is a self-motivated strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to solve problems and create desired results.
Ms. Donovan received her bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College and her Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. She is the Director, Coordinated Behavioral Health Management. Buff has achieved many accomplishments to include being featured in several of Health Alliance Plan’s Healthy Living Magazines and functions as an MAHP representative for the MiCAL crisis and assessment line and participated on the Association of Community Health Plan (ACHP) Behavioral Health Leadership Board. In her spare time, Ms. Donovan enjoys spending time with her family, baking and yoga.

Erick Haynes BBA, PMP
Vice President
Mr. Erick Haynes is a seasoned healthcare professional with over a decade of expertise in healthcare operations, strategic planning, and regulatory excellence. Currently serving as a Revenue Cycle Management Engineer at Henry Ford Health, Erick drives innovation and efficiency across a five-region hospital system through the application of lean methodologies and strategic initiatives. Mr. Haynes holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management from Colorado Technical University. His professional toolkit includes advanced proficiency in analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and SAS, along with growing knowledge of Six Sigma Lean principles. With a collaborative approach, Erick excels in presenting strategies to senior leadership, organizing large-scale departmental meetings, and acting as a subject matter expert in various healthcare domains. Erick has a deep passion for being a “foodie connoisseur” and has been preparing/catering food since elementary school. His experience leading cooking classes at Sur La Table has guided him toward the path of creating his own food platform where he engages participants through food, music, and life discussions. In his spare time, he loves to travel and test recipes on his friends.
